Caerlan | Lakeside |
One of our venues is Lakeside Farm Park at Hendre Ifan Goch Farm, on the boundary of Rhondda Cynon Taff and Ogwr. It is a 250 acre hill sheep and cattle farm. It has recently put in a trout lake and opened up a café bar and function room at the lakeside. There are disabled toilet facilities. The training room has an excellent view of the lake.
There are also small animal pens and a playground area which are open during the Spring and Summer on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays, which you might like to revisit with your family.

This venue is ideal for:
Management courses - What could be better than to send your staff here for formal management training in the morning followed by serenity and reflection of fishing in the afternoon - Fishing instructor on hand for novices!
Or we can provide fun but effective outdoor team building activities in the afternoon!
Motivational courses - there is nothing motivational about the ambience of a hotel training suite, the fresh air, scenery and the lake itself set the scene for personal development.

At Caerlan Farm itself
Many of the Lantra courses need specific equipment and resources, and often need large areas for practical hands-on experience, particularly Dry Stone Walling, and ATV vehicle courses.
Our "rustic" training room and facilities Cae Curlais Hall at Caerlan is perfect for smaller courses and for practical Lantra courses. It has a training room with TV/Video, OHP and a Flipchart, Wireless Broadband internet access is available plus a Powerpoint projector, it also has a Toilet block and Fitted Kitchen.

The farm commands a wonderful view of the Ely Valley, for Wildlife & Bird spotting it is superb! Many of our local authority clients use our venue for Lantra courses, as it gets the training away from the workplace yard with far less distractions from work!

There is no charge then for this venue and tea, coffee and biscuits are included!
We also run many of our personal development courses in First Aid, etc here.
We have an approved track for 4X4 driving and ATV driving, which we also hire out (with the classroom) to other training providers.
